Senath State Bank (Bank) values its customers privacy. We take pride in our adherence to the virtue of customer confidentiality and never lose sight of the fact that our customers trust is our most treasured asset. When a customer opens an account with us, that customer provides us with private financial and personal information, and we are committed to maintaining the confidentiality of that information. You are not only protected by federal and state laws, but Senath State Banks commitment to uphold both the spirit and the letter of these laws. If you ever have any questions about the confidentiality of your information in our hands, please call Diane Risner at 800-738-7528. We sincerely appreciate your business. Thank you for banking with us!
Information Collected
Senath State Bank maintains information and data about our customers for several reasons. We have learned that the more we know about our customers, in regards to their financial matters, the better we can understand their unique financial needs. This allows us to provide our customers with the appropriate products and deliver superior service. For example, if we knew that you were a homeowner in need of financing, we could recommend that you consider a home equity line of credit as an alternative to an installment loan because of its potential tax benefits to you.
We also collect and analyze customer information as the first step in product development. Our goal is to split trends or changes in the way our customers manage their finances. With this constantly updated information, we will be able to create new products and services or improve existing ones, giving you more effective money management tools.
We collect nonpublic personal information about you from the following sources:
- Information we receive from you on applications or other forms;
- Information about your transactions with us, our affiliates, or others;
- Information we receive from a consumer reporting agency (commonly known as a credit bureau); and
- Information that we receive in response to requests we make to third parties about you or to confirm information that you have provided to us, particularly in the process of evaluating applications for loans.
There are some cases in which we gather info to comply with laws and regulations governing the financial industry. For example, we are required by federal regulations to obtain a tax identification number (generally a social security number) for all of our accounts.
We use some of the data we collect to maintain the security of your accounts and to protect the privacy of your financial information. We must be able to positively identify you and your products and services to prevent access by unauthorized individuals.
Within the Bank, we restrict access to nonpublic personal information about you to those employees who need to know that information to provide products or services to you. We maintain physical, electronic and procedural safeguards that comply with federal regulations to guard your nonpublic personal information.
Sharing Customer Information
In our continuing effort to provide you with superior service and offer you financial products we think you would find useful, we will share customer info within the Senath State Bank financial family (our affiliates) as they develop. This would include our financial planning and brokerage subsidiary. In doing so, we will be able to offer you a complete financial package with the best accounts and products for all your business and personal needs. As a result of this sharing within the Senath State Bank family, you may receive combined account statements, easier access to certain account features, new or enhanced products, special promotional offers, and certain discounts you may not have known about or been eligible to receive.
We want to assure you that we carefully try to limit the use and collection of customer information to only what is necessary to conduct our business, provide superior service, and offer opportunities we think would be useful to you. You have our commitment to use customer information only in accordance with the principles outlined within this statement.
Sharing Information with Other Companies
Although we are committed to protecting the confidentiality of your financial information, occasionally we provide information about you and your finances to other companies outside the Senath State Bank financial family with whom we do business. Your financial information will never be sold to unaffiliated third parties, however, for their marketing purposes. Any sharing of information will be done for the purpose of developing products and/or services for you the customer.
For example, we are required to share your financial information with parties named in a lawsuit or administrative action when we are served with a subpoena or court order and with federal and state regulatory authorities, such as bank examiners or the Internal Revenue Service, as authorized by federal or state law. Consistent with the practice of other financial institutions, we also share information about you and your accounts with reputable credit reporting agencies as authorized under federal laws and with others who may receive certain information from us under particular circumstances, but only as lawfully permitted or required.
Further, we may contract with other reputable companies in our efforts to offer you additional attractive products and services. Also, we may contract with outside agents or service providers to prepare account statements, enter or calculate transactions and balances, or provide other materials or services on our behalf. These businesses have agreed to comply with our customer confidentiality requirements and to comply with applicable laws.

At our discretion we may communicate information solely about our transactions or experiences with you to persons related to us by common ownership or affiliated by corporate control. We may also, at our discretion, communicate other information to these same persons, unless you direct us to not exchange this information.
